Mercy. A word which encompasses the essence of everything Jesus practiced and everything which Pope Francis both models and teaches. Mercy is kindness, compassion, charity, forgiveness, gratitude and tolerance.Mercy is easy to talk about yet very hard to walk. Dear Creator Spirit, please intervened with your wisdom, strength, and courage so that the Jubilee Year of Mercy inspires more hearts to open to receiving the message of Mercy.
As an Episcopalean, I applaud the Holy Father for his initiative. “The quality of mercy is not strained; it droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven . . . . ” Pax vobiscum.
