I have been doing all the blogging at dotMagis since the site launched last April. To further our goal of making dotMagis an Ignatian community of many voices with many points of view, we recently invited several friends and colleagues to share their reflections with us.
Tim Muldoon, from the Office of Ministry and Mission at Boston College and author of The Ignatian Workout has already joined in the dialogue with posts on “Spiritual Direction” and “Ignatian Parenting.”
Tomorrow we will be joined by Maureen McCann Waldron from Creighton University’s Collaborative Ministry Office. Maureen, along with Andy Alexander, S.J., hosts the superb Online Ministries page that will be well-known to many of you. It offers Daily Reflections, an Online Retreat (in 7 languages) and, right now, an area for Praying Advent. Loyola Press recently published the Creighton online retreat as a book called Retreat in the Real World. With a background in corporate PR, a husband and two children, a (recently-deceased) parent with Alzheimer’s Disease and an all-consuming job, Maureen deeply appreciates how Ignatian spirituality helps her negotiate the multiple and competing demands of her daily life.
Please join me in welcoming Maureen to the dotMagis blog.
Welcome, Maureen. I’ve used the Creighton site for years and this one for several months. Always glad to hear from you.
