While in Paris, inspirational speaker Daniel Midson-Short learned the importance of paying attention. The lesson came from a silent woman, about whom Midson-Short says: “She knows that the greatest gift that you can give to another person is presence.”
Watch the TEDx video below, and think about how you are paying attention to those around you.
Awesome video – brought me to tears because I am so not present. I am going to try and get here.
Thank you sharing, it means a lot to me that this message resonated for you. It’s a lesson that has profoundly changed my life.
Our lives are made of moments and those moments will become memories if we “pay attention”. We would be so different if we really paid attention at all that God tells us.
What a good message by an great story teller. Thanks for sharing.
Looking at you Daniel Midson-Short.
Paying attention = being 100% present
Excellent! Our lives would be different if we paid attention to those who are in front of us every day. As he mentioned the Mona Lisa looking at him and he looking at the Mona Lisa, it brought to mind the fact that every moment God is looking at us and we could be looking at God if we paid attention. Thank you for sharing this.
