Jesuit Prayer App

I’ve just discovered a fine app that delivers daily Ignatian reflections and prayer to your mobile device.  The Jesuit Prayer app also gives you the scripture readings of the day and it features downloadable prayer cards and a link for prayer requests.  It’s maintained by the Jesuits of the Midwest Province.  Get it free for Apple and Android devices.

  1. While I always look forward to the spiritual direction and practices offered by the Jesuit prayer app enveloped in a
context of early morning silence, I continue to be frustrated by
The failure of the reminder function to actually work. I received a response thru my e-mail concerning this issue which a responded to in the best way I knew how with the help of my much more technically savvy wife, but there has been no response to this. I don’t know where’s to go from here.

    • Mike, that prayer app is run by the USA Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus, so please contact them directly with your questions. We at Loyola Press are an apostolate of the Jesuits, but we do not control that app to be able to provide tech support.

  2. I have been using this app for a while now and love it. I searched for it after I read “What Do You Really Want” by Jim Manney, and then the Spiritual Exercises by St. Ignatius. This app is very simple, but has become a nice part of my morning reading and prayer time. I have it on my iPad and it works fine, but as a previous commenter posted, you do have to have access to the Internet to use it.
