God with Us in the Word

open BibleBecky Eldredge, author of Busy Lives & Restless Souls, recently shared a post on Listening for God in Scripture, in which she suggested praying with lectio divina. Now for Advent, Becky is leading us to encounter “God with Us in the Word” in her latest BeckyEldredge.com blog series. Each week of Advent, she’ll lead an audio experience of lectio divina based on one of the season’s Scripture readings. Check out the first week, with a lectio divina reflection on Jeremiah 33:14–16.

If you’re subscribed to Sacred Advent, you may wish to try the lectio divina method with the readings in your daily e-mails too.

  1. Dear Becky,
I have to say that I find the music VERY intrusive. It is too loud and distracting. It is a tune? that is heard in other DotMagis audios I think the Examen uses the same sequence of sounds.
    Love,
    Gilbert
