This week’s Ignatian song is the hard rock classic “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. It’s about a working class couple “livin’ on a prayer” as they struggle to make ends meet. Lyrics here.
But it’s this performance rather than the lyrics that makes this song an Ignatian classic. These are Jesuits on the campus of Boston College. It compares pretty well to the Bon Jovi music video that’s been viewed nearly three million times.
Fabulous! I’m sharing this with my family and others. I will watch this video again and again. As a 1964 Seattle University alumna, I salute you. There are many ways to get the message out. You’ve done a superb job. Yes, Jesuits rock. 🙂
We had a lot of fun making that video. Glad it brought smiles and joy to others. Our new students here at BC are amazed as were the ones who watched us make this video and a lot of others.
