Ignatian community includes the worldwide Society of Jesus and many others inspired by the vision and spirituality of St. Ignatius Loyola. Jesuit organizations and other organizations inspired by Ignatian spirituality work with an active contemplation characteristic of Ignatius. Many of these organizations have clear charters for working toward social justice. Others in the Ignatian community work to advance the modes of prayer and spiritual direction first taught by Ignatius.
